Hand forged from 0.8 thick sterling silver sheet this statement piece necklace has been created using a technique called 'fold forming'. The sheet silver is first hammered together lengthways and then textured, to create radiating impressions along the folded ridge forming veins. The leaf designs are then cut out using a fine jewellers' saw. Once each piece is filed the silver is then prised open and formed using traditional silversmithing techniques. Each leaf has a measurement of 50mm long and 27.5mm wide. The leaves are satin finished on the surface with highly polished centre veins and edges and are threaded onto polished beaded chain interspersed with 8mm diameter sterling silver beads. The necklace can be adjusted along the ball chain from the back of each leaf if the wearer prefers the leaves to be more separated. All Omerta Jewellery is presented in a branded gift box with matching organza ribbon.
